Chef Jacob Johnson

As you enter the doors of the Red Lion, you will be greeted with a friendly smile by Innkeepers Buddy and Joyce Young, or one of the friendly staff. You will be invited to dine at a table that has been reserved especially for you or you may choose to relax in one of our rocking chairs by the fireplace and enjoy a drink from your own brown bag (Red Lion is located in a dry county).

The Red Lion offers three dining areas. In the spring and summer months you may enjoy sitting on our veranda that overlooks a beautiful mountain stream, or you may choose to sit on our glassed-in porch that still allows you to enjoy the stream and a beautiful mountain sunset. During the winter months the ideal place to dine is by our big open fireplace. Each offers a uniqueness of its own.

When you are ready to begin your meal, you may select from a menu offering a choice of truly delicious steaks; aged, cut and prepared by our chef, Jacob Johnson. You may also choose from a selection of fresh seafood - shrimp, scallops, oysters, and fresh baked mountain trout are always available.

To compliment your meals, the Red Lion offers homemade french onion soup, so thick with cheese that we provide scissors to cut it with, homebaked bread and a salad that will please anyone.

To complete your meal, a large selection of homemade desserts awaits you. Favorites like Bourbon Ice Cream, French Mint Pie, Hot Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce are only a few.

Winter Hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 5:00 - 9:30; Regular Hours: Tues-Sat, 5:00-9:30
